2020 Review

Boy, have we ever had a year, but let’s look at the brighter side of things.

Have we been to any jams? I sure hope so, even if online.

Have we been to any festivals? I was able to attend the Colorado Festival in February.

HOWEVER, I have attended more online festivals than I would have ever been able to attend in person!

Have we been playing music? We all need to keep practicing to be ready for the time we can get back together.

Have we been communicating? Absolutely, we have been holding Zoom meetings, and jams, and sharing information through Groups.io. There was an outdoor event in Beaumont where several gathered and had a good time.

Have we been learning anything new? This is the perfect opportunity to take out all of those training notes and handouts from the instructors you have taken classes from and revisit the lessons.

Have we been thankful? Thanksgiving was this past week and I’m sure we all have something to be thankful for. Plus, we are thankful for this club and all of its members and diversity!

Have we a future? Without a doubt it will come.

As I heard Gary say and believe it has helped me. “Focus on the things we can do and not on what we can’t do.” This has helped me tremendously and I hope it resonates with you too.
